Stop frizz: pure coconut oil; small dime sized amount daily. Easy to wash out.
6-8 glasses of water daily to rehydrate skin and hair. What is good shampoo that can stop my hair from breakage and frizz?
Garnier FructisseWhat is good shampoo that can stop my hair from breakage and frizz?
Try Sunsilk.
ok this is what i use its called loriel vive pro its an orange bottle and they have about 20 different kinds for different hair types it worked great for me :)
peace
Shampoo doesn't prevent breakage or frizz. You need a really good conditioner for that.
Try the green bottle in the sunsilk products for shampoo, it really works!!!!!
aussie!!!
or actually try one of the sunsilk types.
pantene also works good!
head and shoulders; ocean lift. even if you don't have dandruff, it still works really well. also, green sunsilk. pink sunsilk works for flattening frizz also. and the other one i can think of is beyond the zone; last call. you can get the last call only at sally beauty supplies.
Experiment the variety available in the supermarkets.
But I prefer Herbal essences.

What would happen if you washed your hair with shampoo?
before using a hair dye that says in the instuctions wet hair but do not shampoo?
What would happen if you washed your hair with shampoo?
Some Hair color on the box tell you, NOT to Wash your Hair Before Coloring. Will Styling Products Affect your Results?
Normal product use won't cause a problem. If you have a lot of buildup you should wash and completely dry your hair before coloring. They do not want you putting the color on wet hair as you dilute the product by doing so.
Different products require different methods as you can see above. I believe you can use the color on wet hair but not shampoo because the ingredients in the shampoo will hinder or dilute the color process.
For the most part, one or two days worth of product can simply be brushed out before applying the color. But if you use many products, then reapply before washing for several days, you should go ahead and wash it. Just make sure it is dry before applying the color.
I hope this helps
Victory of CreativehairillusionsWhat would happen if you washed your hair with shampoo?
It may produce a slightly faded colour compared to what is expected due to the colour being unable to stick to your freshly washed hair.
Additionally it may not colour certain parts of your hair as evenly / naturally as it would if you did not wash your hair.
However, it differs for each person due to different hair conditions and may be fine for you to shampoo your hair before colouring.
hi.
you aren't supposed to, for the main reason that the dye will not open the pores in your hair as well as unwashed (unshampoo'd) hair does. shampoo gives a coating on hair which will weaken any deposits that will to cling to your hair. the same goes for conditioning before a colouring. so shampoo after you've washed most of the dye out. condition five minutes afterwards and then leave on for a few minutes. then wash.
only a recommendation... but i've had some experience with colours with my own hair and other peoples. :) x
why not just follow the directions? would that not be easier then worrying about the outcome if you dont? But i'm sure nothing disasterous would happen, the color might not take as nice tho because of the chemicals in the shampoo.
Absolutely nothing. Everytime I've dyed someone's hair they washed almost right before and the color still turns out nice.
It doesn't really matter, just with dirtier hair they say the dye holds better, although I always wash my hair the say i get it died!
Nothing. They say that clean hair doesn't hold onto Color better..not true..I wash my hair before and after the color, and it looks just as good.
The color doesn't stick to freshly washed hair.
umm...let me think......lik....NOTHING. i wash my hair with shampoo and then conditioner...oh, wait ur askin...ok. then just wet ur hair and dont use shampoo. just follow the instructions!
nothing but be careful though

What is the best kind of flea and tick shampoo and spot on? (IE frontline, advantex)?
I am going to bath my 4 dogs with a flea and tick shampoo and then the next day I am going to apply a spot on for reinforcements. I intend on doing this for the rest of the summer! What is the best kind of flea and tick shampoo and spot on? (IE frontline, advantex)?
The best flea and tick shampoo is by Adams. Those are the best products that I have ever used and they smell great after you wash them. The best spot on is Frontline. What is the best kind of flea and tick shampoo and spot on? (IE frontline, advantex)?
Frontline is the best kind of spot on. My dog uses it and it works fine. All my friends use it for their dogs too. For shampoo, don't but it at like a grocery store or like walmart or something. Only is you have to. But Petsmart and Petco and places like that have bigger selections and like top of the line stuff. Like don't buy the cheesy brands. Read the labels and see which one has the strogest protection, how long it lasts, and what it protects against. It all just depends on like what your dog has a problem with. If it's fleas then get one that mostly kills fleas. etc. etc. Best of luck!
you should not bath your dogs in flea shampoo then add front line as it can cause reactions,i would bath your dogs in Johnson's dog shampoo and then you have to Wait 4 days before adding front line, you cant bath then for 4 days after adding front line either
I wouldn't use flea shampoo for the dogs. The idea of submerging my dog in poison is an uncomfortable one for me. Just bathe them in regular shampoo (Head and Shoulders is great if they're itchy, but if they've got open sores use an oatmeal shampoo) and then use Frontline. Frontline is absolutely the best. My dog is allergic to fleas, just one bite is like a bee sting in allergic people, it's a big deal, but I put Frontline on him every month (and Frontline for cats on the cat) and I have no problems.
For reinforcement, make sure that you vacuum your rug and furniture and wash the dog's bedding at least once a week and if they go out alot and bring fleas in, try spraying the yard with flea nematodes. You can get them here http://www.gardensalive.com/product.asp?鈥?/a>
They dont' affect the dog at all, they're actually critters who eat larval fleas.
you do not need to bathe with flea and tick shampoo unless your dog already has fleas. Flea shampoos and preventatives all have chemicals and poisons.. do not use it unless you need to. If your dog is being treated monthly with advantage or frontline, there should be no need for a flea bath.
I reccommend waiting a few days between a flea bath and applying preventative. Flea baths do provide some residual affect and you dont want to risk too many toxins at once.
Adams is a good flea shampoo.
For spot ons, advantage, frontline, revolution and advantix are all good. Revolution does heart worm too, so you have to get it directly from the vet. A warning about advantix.. its VERY toxic to cats. If you have cats, do not use it at all!
My vet does recommend Advantex.
One of the questions you want to ask yourself.....did you also take care of the yard they live in and the house. If you already have fleas then they must all go. As for the flea control, go to 1-800-petmeds and check out the prices. They are the best you can get. Also, stay away from Bio Spot. if your dog scratches the area and then licks his paws, it could cause serious side effects, sickness and even death. I have a friend that the kennel they took their dog too did Bio Spot and lost 2 dogs to death because of it. They do not use it any more. Make sure to check and see if it is digested, what the measures are to take care of it.....
Otherwise...make sure it is dried before the dog scratches or licks it.
Good Luck
I use revolution and have not had any problems with fleas. I think that all the major brands are good but you get a better bang with your buck with the revolution. It protects against heartworm, fleas, the american dog tick, ear mites and mange. And the best part is I can treat all this with one application a month rather than having several mediactions to treat against one or two problems at a time.
I would suggest a product called BasicH2 Organic Super Cleaning Concentrate you use 1/2tsp.Put solution in spray bottle.Go around neck first, soak that area so fleas will not run to ears, nose and eyes.Soak down the back then rest of body Rinse well.BasicH2 takes shield off fleas so they drown. I also give my dogs Vitamin B and Garlic helps keep ticks and fleas away. NOTE For very small dogs I'd suggest no more than one Garlic twice a week.Too much Garlic may interfere with metabolism.
my vet told me to use frontline to get rid of fleas for 3 months, then switch to revolution to prevent fleas from coming back. i agree you don't want to bath in a flea medication then apply more from spot on medications. you could give your dogs too much.
I use Frontline, and I use it year round. Not just the summer. Spring and fall are even more dangerous tick times.
I've never used Advantix. It's probably good also, but I've been happy with Frontline.

What is the best affordable blow dryer/shampoo for thin and fragile hair?
-my hair is really thin ( im 18, Caucasian girl

You might try something mild like Neutrogena shampoo. It doesn't have a lot of moisturizer and conditionals that may flatten your hair.
If you need a dryer, just make sure it has a diffuser attachment. If not, you can probably find one that fits at a beauty supply store. What is the best affordable blow dryer/shampoo for thin and fragile hair?

Best shampoo to prevent an itchy scalp?
I'm a guy, 24 years old, and lately my scalp has been getting itchy. Not ';can't stop scratching';-itchy, but enough to be annoying.
I don't think I have dandruff (never noticed it on my black shirts or anything), but maybe it's there.
Can anyone tell me which shampoo would be best to use (Head %26amp; Shoulders ,etc)?
Thanks.Best shampoo to prevent an itchy scalp?
I find that Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner work very well for itchy scalp!! Make sure u are not putting Conditioner of ANY kind on your scalp directly..only on the ends. Clean your scalp while shampooing with fingertips only..vigorously do not scrub with your nails and then after the conditioner use a nice cool rinse to get the conditioner out..good luckBest shampoo to prevent an itchy scalp?
Do you have really thick hair? I do and lots of times it's because your not rinsing all you shampoo and conditioner etc out. Also I have a very dry skin and scalp and I use a tea tree shampoo. I get it at walmart. I cannot remember the name for my life, but it works really well. I also find that if I just rinse my hair out with water instead of washing it every day it als helps. Hope your problem clears up! :)
Definately Head and Shoulders.
For itchy scalp, pls do not use Head %26amp; Shoulders shampoo to treat it. Bcoz it contain harmful ingredients like sodium lauryl sulfate, prop. glycol, formaldehyde etc... All these will irritate ur scalp further. Instead u should use 2nd Chance Sh. spray wth Eliminator (fight bacteria) and spray Replinishing Mist to keep scalp healthy %26amp; promote healthy hair. Yep, use Head and Shoulders. Also, any tea tree oil shampoo will work.
Head %26amp; Shoulders Intensive Solutions

there are alot of damaging and irritating chemicals in most shampoos such as Sodium Laureth Sulphate or Sodium Lauryl Sulphate which makes shampoo foam up. It also widely used in dishwashing liquids, car washes (degreasers). It is a skin irritant (they sometimes use it in tests to irritate skin to test products) and is known to dy out our scalp, corrode hair follicles and damage your hair and it is in MOST big brand shampoos....there are others to look out for too that are potentially carcinogenic.
There are many shampoos which do not contain these harsh ingredients that also foam well with natural foaming agents such as coconut which cleanse and moisturize your hair and scalp really well without damaging it. They have very moisturizing properties and can make a huge difference to improving the condition of your hair.
Also using natural oils and herbs from your garden can help to soothe your scalp...try using 10 drops of teatree (melaleauca oil) mixed in with your NON SLS shampoo to help with itching and rinse your hair with warm chamomile tea.
My son uses a Head and Shoulds sensetive skin shampoo and it works great. Hes 12 and has always had an itchy scalp. No dandruff just itchy like you. This brand is not harsh like the normal dandruff shampoos. Its easier on your scalp.
You can always try Head %26amp; Shoulders- that's usually pretty effective.
If that doesn't work, try REDKEN Scalp Relief/Dandruff Control. (It comes in a white bottle.) I use that and it works really well for me.
Good luck and sorry your scalp's itching! Lol.
I used to have an itchy scalp but then I started using Head %26amp; Shoulders and it really worked. I would highly recommed it.
Head and Shoulders or maybe even just some herbal tea tree shampoo, this smells really nice too
redkin dandruff rid it comes with a shampoo, a conditioner, and, a gel that you put in when its wet and by morning it wont itch anymore!!!
GL!!!
Nizoral shampoo.
Keep it simple. You want something that suits you best and that you can depend on. Try Head %26amp; Shoulders, and if that doesn't suit you, you can move up to medicated products such as Selsun Blue, or Nizoral.
In the long run, Head and Shoulders should definetely work.

Which shampoo really works for getting rid of dandruff and making your hair sleek, shiny, and healthy?
it depends on what type of hair you have and how damaged is it? is it curly or straigh? It also depends what decent you are. Hair is very hard, but try Selsun blue or Head and Shoulders. Tresseme is pretty good. And it is best o switch shampoo every 2-3 months, so the hair doesn't get used to it.Which shampoo really works for getting rid of dandruff and making your hair sleek, shiny, and healthy?

What would happen if I took shampoo, soap, and a towel into the voting booth with me?
Drop the soap and find out, however I must warn you, there is republicans in the room so make sure your belt is tight!!What would happen if I took shampoo, soap, and a towel into the voting booth with me?
Depends on who you are voting for, if you are voting for McCain, make sure to bring lube, so the getting raped thing won't hurt as much. What would happen if I took shampoo, soap, and a towel into the voting booth with me?
If that was all, you'd be kicked out. If you were clothed, they'd probably make you leave the other items outside the booth.
Nothing, but you should give it to the dirty liberals voting for Obama.
I have a friend who's going to vote dressed as a polar bear. Everyone should do something wacky at the polls.
Some freakshow would follow you in. Don't drop the soap...
Lol, clean voting.
Juggling and voting at the same time?
LOL, good one! ;OD
don't forget the shower cap!

What are some good hair products/shampoo for split ends?
i have alot of split ends and i just want them gone!
plz plz plz help!!!1What are some good hair products/shampoo for split ends?
Split ends happen in many ways, primarily from abuse. If you flat iron like a mad woman, if you color your hair a lot, if you constantly change shampoos/conditioners, blow drying your hair excessively, harsh brushing and combing.
JB- is right! Get a trim. But tell your stylist to cut only 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch. Once your split ends are gone, use the correct shampoo for your specific hair type and if it is colored. I recommend Sun Silk. I have recommended this to my clients and they came through with fantastic results.
To make sure that those split ends are gone, take better care of your hair. Get regular scalp treatments every 8 weeks and get your hair colored every 4, if you choose to have it colored. Keep following up on your hair care regimen at home and you should be fine. What are some good hair products/shampoo for split ends?
Products don't get rid of Split ends, They Stick them back together, Which is only temporary, and not recommended, as Split ends DO and WILL cause Breakage. The ONLY way to get rid of Split ends is a trim...and the only REAL way to prevent them is a trim every 4-6 weeks.
your best bet is to get a trim so that most of your split ends go;
then to keep your hair in a nice condition use a weekly mask for the hair where you soak it for a few minutes so that all moisture is absorbed.
i find herbal essences are not only great smelling hair products but the conditioners are excellent for keeping your hair soft and silky.

The ONLY way to get rid of Split ends is a trim...and the only REAL way to prevent them is a trim every 4-6 weeks.
your best bet is to get a trim so that most of your split ends go;
then to keep your hair in a nice condition use a weekly mask for the hair where you soak it for a few minutes so that all moisture is absorbed.
i find herbal essences are not only great smelling hair products but the conditioners are excellent for keeping your hair soft and silky.

Whats the best moisturizing store bought shampoo and conditioner?
for long thick mostly straight sometimes wavy hair?Whats the best moisturizing store bought shampoo and conditioner?
As someone who also has really thick hair and has tried it all- the last thing you want to do is use pantene. It really is the one of the worst shampoos out there to use. Go with Dove, use either their Go Fresh line or their Intense Therapy (dark blue bottles) if you have split ends/damaged hair. Dove is moisturizes without weighing your hair down, which is the last thing you want to happen when you have thick hair. It does wonders for your hair and isn't really costly, plus the scents are great. So stick with Dove if you want to do something good for your hair. Good Luck.Whats the best moisturizing store bought shampoo and conditioner?

Well I'm mixed and I have poofy curley hair. It's cute but hard to edal with. It's dry if I don't put anything in it after I wash it but after a few days it gets greecy and... ew. But I use Treseme Shamoo and Conditioner for curley dry hair. Pantene or Dove works too. :]
Phyto hair products are all natural products and they are great for dry hair. They have a line specifically for dry hair, they even have a line for extra dry hair. I'm not sure if you can buy them where you are but it can be ordered through Sephora.com
Herbal Essences Hello Hydration. The name speaks for itself! I have it and it works wonders. I love it so much. Use that followed by a really good deep conditioner.
Try Pantene i think it works pretty good, and you can get it anywhere. when i went to vietnam they even had it. Get the one the moisture' your hair, that'll help.
Smashed up bananas are an efficient way to leave your hair smooth and less dry. Also olive oil heated in the microwave helps too. The banana one has an added bonus as well... it makes your hair smell good ;D Hope this helps!
after shampooing..put some egg whites on to your hair and rinse after a few minutes..this will make your hair really smooth..its like a natural conditioner.
Ultra doux shampoo and conditioners are very good for dry hairs.

Can cats take baths using human shampoo?
No, you should only use a special cat shampoo for a cat. Human shampoo can be too harsh and dry out the skin or cause an allergic reaction. You actually don't need to bathe cats, they keep themselves clean. Unless your cat has gotten into something particularily sticky or gooey, that your cat cannot get out of it's own fur...you really should have no need to give him a bath. Can cats take baths using human shampoo?
Again, do your research, cats do need to be given baths. Not as often as dogs, but 4 times a year is good. Report Abuse
Can cats take baths using human shampoo?
When i got my cat i gave her a bath here is wat u do u use a little amount and don't scrub their face and then rinse them very well.
no problem if we try to use them sometimes....
they can but its is probably better to use kitty shampoo =)
no
yes it doesnt help control fleas but they will smell good
My vet recommended Selsun Blue for my cat, so yes.
Cat shampoo is different than human shampoo. Cats have a different pH than human skin. Human shampoo can be drying or irritating to their skin, and may even cause a rash or worse. Don鈥檛 use dog shampoos on them either, unless it specifically says it may be used on cats. Some are too harsh for them.
By they way, human shampoo should also not be used on dogs, for the same reasons. Yes, it may get them clean, but at the cost of an uncomfortable pet, at best.
Humans and Cats have a different skin PH. So using a human shampoo can dry out their skin. A Cat shampoo is best especially because most felines do not care for a bath sometimes some shampoo is left behind. If you ABSOLUTELY must us a human shampoo, then baby shampoo should be the only option. Still if you can, go with the cat shampoo.
For all the people saying not to give cats a bath I have a question for you....If you lick your fingers after you eat, are your hands clean???????? NO....A cat that is not bathed will develope more dry skin. The oils build up and trap dirt and dust etc and create more irration. I have groomed for 7 years and I know the benefits of bathing your cats.
I tried that once and my cat got really dry skin.
No.
If you are going to use human shampoo on animals then it should only be baby shampoo, dogs and cats have skin that is more sensitive then humans and the chemicals in our shampoos can easily give them rashes and irritate their skin.
But besides that, why the heck do you want to bathe your cat? Cats are self-cleaning animals. If it has long hair, or if you want to give it a little help once in awhile, then buy a brush and brush it. If you try and put your cat in a tub of water it will scratch you.
why would a cat take a bath???they hate it and they can clean themselves with their toungues
my vet told me it is okay to use baby shampoo
Human shampoo tend to strip the natural oils in a cat's coat. Using Baby shampoo is not so bad. But once or twice or the odd time that you need to bathe the kitty and you don't have cat shampoo on hand, a little diluted human shampoo never did a cat any long lasting harm - coat may be a bit dull and dry for a few days though.
my dogs and horses do. dont think it would hurt a cat.
Not recommended. Animal shampoos are formulated to keep their coats from drying out. Also, our shampoos can real;y burn their eyes. Stick to cat shampoos and conditioners - or use a real gentle baby formula.
You need to be careful what shampoo you use if it is human shampoo. If you have to use human shampoo, use a gentle baby shampoo. Johnson %26amp; Johnson baby shampoo is perfect for that.
Otherwise, try to use a cat shampoo.
And don't bath your cat too often, you can dray out the skin and cause discomfort.
NO NO NO their Ph is totally different from humans buy shampoo especially for cats. Their skin and fur is not like ours and you could harm your pet.
most vets will tell you to use dawn dish washing liquid, it even kills fleas and leaves there hair feeling really soft
yes they can but cats uselly just keep there self clean by licking themselves clean but if you try to give a cat a bath they will just scratchand bight and jump out of the tub CATS HATE WATER. SO DONT TRY TO GIVE YOURCAT A BATH. oh and if yoyur cat does love water IT ISN'T NORMAL. know adfence or anything.

What is a good brand of shampoo?
I'm looking for a brand of shampoo that isn't too expensive, keeps hair soft, keeps hair shiny, and makes the hair smell good too. Also, I just got my hair highlighted, if that helps.
Also for girls, do you know a good hair removal system? Like what razor would you recommend using?
Thank you all! What is a good brand of shampoo?
Herbal Essences has all different types of shampoos that smell wonderful and can target different hair problems to achieve gorgeous hair.
As for a razor, I personally like all Venus razors. Especially the Venus Breeze, because if you're pretty good with shaving you don't need to use shaving cream with that razor to get a close shave. What is a good brand of shampoo?
I love Sunsilk Hydra TLC shampoo and conditioner. Here's a review I did on it awhile back:

%26amp; a razor?
I use Venus Divine %26amp; Skintimate shaving cream, heh :P
Head and Shoulders is great even if you don't have dandruff. It makes your hair so amazingly soft! It's even better than a lot of those brands others are mentioning, and I've tried many of them,
I recommend pantene. They even have a line to help preserve the color in color treated hair.
And for shaving, Venus razors with Satin Care shaving gel by Gillette for Women.
Dove, Herbal Essences, and Pantene are all excellent hair products
i would recommend using a Venus razor
SUNSILK! Redkin , Paul Mitchel , treseme , herbal esences

How do you choose the right shampoo?
What shampoo have you been using now? Does it still work? Then stick with it, try a new shampoo, over and over again, if you want your hair better. How do you choose the right shampoo?
i think how it feels once it dries.
i've realized so far that Loreal Vive (smooth intense) is the best...my hair dries but is still soft and shiny!! i have thick, wavy, frizzy dark brown hair..and i straighten it daily, so i need it to be conditioned. also, i buy leave in conditioner and spray on after showering :)How do you choose the right shampoo?
u should know Ur hair type then u should read the shampoo description ..it will tell u for what type it made for.wrinkles

Is it true that you need to use the same conditoner as your shampoo?
Hi :)
No its not true at all, thats an addition they make for marketing. Some shampoos don't work with their conditioner for some people. Me I've never had a problem, I use the Fredrick Fekaii Technician shampoo and conditioner set and sometimes I use The Body Shop Olive Glossing shampoo and conditioner set and the Herbal Essences Drama Clean set.
Ciao*Is it true that you need to use the same conditoner as your shampoo?
No that is not true at all. Its a marketing ploy by the manufacturer to sell more product. You can mix the brands of shampoo and conditioner however you like.Is it true that you need to use the same conditoner as your shampoo?
It's not true. Conditioner is conditioner. Whatever you wanna use, use it!! =]
No of course not, it's not like your hair will fall out. But i typically do so that I don't mix scents and smell like a French prostitute.
no
no its not get on ur im
no u dont have to use the same conditioner as shampoo companies just want u to use their stuff to get more money
...no not really.....but one usually can compliment the other
I use different ones too! Glad to know I'm not the only person lol.
no i use differnet ones
no way! i use different ones all the time!~
You don't have to.
But i recommend Dove Shampoo and Conditioner.
no. that is more for commercial purposes, when you go to a store and buy a shampoo you will naturally think ';oh, i need to buy the same brand of conditioner!'; therefore buying more of their product. I must admit that sometimes when I'm out of conditioner and have to use a different brand as the shampoo I'm a little hesitant as to whether it will work or not but it's all in my head. Depends on the combination too, if you have dry hair and use conditioner for oily hair, the results will probably not be as good.
No, you don't have to. But it would probably be better because most shampoos and conditioners that are the same brand work hand-in-hand in some way. I always use the same shampoo and conditioner. The only time I use a different shampoo and conditioner is when I want to get rid of dandruff or something--once every few weeks I will use a dandruff shampoo and my regular conditioner.
I use a conditioning treatment from a different brand though.

Is it true that soap and shampoo contains animal fat in it?
Collagen is animal connective tissue and is often as an ingredient in shampoo.
Sodium tallowate is made from animal fat and other substances. It's a common ingredient in soap.Is it true that soap and shampoo contains animal fat in it?
Yes. Lots of other fun chemicals too... you can find some brands that are animal product free, such as Physique, but I'm not sure they make soap. Dial for men liquid soap (and many other liquid soaps use Glycerine instead of Glycole, which is a petrolium distillate, and is a byproduct of biofuel production. Is it true that soap and shampoo contains animal fat in it?
In foods and beverages, glycerol serves as humectant, solvent and sweetener, and may help preserve foods. It is also used as filler in commercially prepared low-fat foods (e.g., cookies), and as a thickening agent in liqueurs. Glycerol also serves as a way, along with water, to preserve certain types of leaves. Glycerol is also used as a sugar substitute. In this regard, it has approximately 27 calories per teaspoon and is 60% as sweet as sucrose. Although it has about the same food energy as table sugar, it does not raise blood sugar levels, nor does it feed the bacteria that form plaques and cause dental cavities. As a food additive,
depends on the soap. You can buy it without at any well-stocked or natural foods store, usually in the natural section: Look for Kiss My Face, Jason's, Dr Brommers or other natural brands that will say right on the back : NO ANIMAL INGREDIENTS, or have a PETA logo right by the CRUELTY FREE statement.
Yes. All types of animal by-products in many cosmetic products on the shelves.
I didn't even realize you could buy products like ';Placenta Hot Oil Treatments';....yum, put placenta in your hair and don't rinse or you can put some on your face with other animal by-products. (http://www.carefair.com/Skincare/Placent鈥?/a>
I just don't get it...and I don't plan to. People usually guess I am 2-10 years younger than I really am and I don't use animal crap.
On the up-side, there are a lot of vegetarian and vegan-friendly companies and products (like JASON, Avalon Organics, and Arbonne) that are amazing. Whole Foods and Trader Joe's are great places to find these types of products (minus Arbonne because it is representative-based). You just have to research the brands.
Some do, but there are many soaps, cleansers, and shampoos that are suitable for vegans. Most are in your local natural foods store. If you see glycerin(e), make sure it indicates it is vegetable glycerin. I have no trouble finding all sorts of lovely cleansers that are truly cruelty-free.
Yes. The leftovers from meat production is boiled down and separated into solids and liquids in a process called rendering. All that stuff is used in consumer products, pet foods, etc...
You can buy products that don't have all that crap in them, though.
Soaps and shampoos can be made of animal or vegetable ingredients. You have to know your brands. Either that or make your own soap.
yes. there is often glycerol in shampoo. glycerol is made from animal bones.
Soap definitely yes. Not sure about shampoo, but most likely another yes.
You can buy olive oil bath soap at Trader Joe's. It's nice soap.
not all soaps and shampoos but yes in some there is..also some test on animals too so you have to watch for that.
It's true. I think it's disgusting.
Yes. Most do.
yes but you have no hair so why does it matter???

apply brown rice moisture hair mask, this how to do it just simply wash your hair then apply very small amount and leave it for 30 minutes before you take a bath. The longer to leave it before taking a bath, the better, you can buy it in any department store. It is organic mask derive from rice.
Use a clarifying shampoo (pantene pro V is good) then use an intense leave-in conditioner to make your hair really smooth and shiny (Tresemme is really good).
Another good tip is too wash off your conditioner with cold water to make it really shiny.
Hope this helps :)
aphogee shampoo and conditioner, i use it and thats what i wanted for my hair and i got it with this brand! its not exactly like cheap if you want results you gotta put another $10 into it
There is one at Walgreen's. It comes in a green bottle and it is organic. Ask when you go there. It runs about $10 though. The reason why I got it because it was free after the rebate.
The best shampoo is Head and Shoulders! Trust me! Your hair turn beautiful silky and soft and smooth!!!!
-cynthiaaaa :)
Kerastase shampoo and conditioner is the best but expensive
I use pantene, it doesn't dry out your hair, it makes your hair silky and shiny I like it a lot!
Mane and Tail. It is sold for washing horses. It will do exactly what you want.

Can one mix perfume and conditioner/shampoo to make one's hair smell good?
I was thinking of mixing a little bit of my perfume with my conditioner to make my hair smell good for a longer amount of time. Does adding perfume to conditioner keep the conditioner from being effective... or will I produce something that doesn't smell good if I mix perfume and conditioner together? Can one mix perfume and conditioner/shampoo to make one's hair smell good?
Perfumes have oils and alchohol in them, so It will change the hair products. Making your hair either dry or greasy, you never know... I would just spray perfume on the underside of your hair in a ponytail and let it down after if you want to scent your hair. That way it won't frizz or be too strong. Can one mix perfume and conditioner/shampoo to make one's hair smell good?
Wont work! Try herbal essence they have beautiful smelling shampoo and conditioner! Give it a go!
Perfume has a high alcohal content wich could be drying to your hair but they do have hair perfume at walmart
you could only try it - just make a small bach to see what its like first
Cheers
i reckon the scent of the perfume will probably be affected by the scent of the conditioner.. but it shouldn't stunt how affective the conditioner is. I say try mixing a small amount of each together and then see how it goes
I don't think it's good cause perfume has alcohol in it and i dont think that the latter is good for hair
i wouldn't recommend it, it could damage your hair..
buy another shampoo/conditioner that has a stronger, lasting smell.. may i suggest pantene or even herbal essences? =P

What kind of shampoo&conditioner stop oliy hair?
I have an oily scalp problem and I use Garnier (in the neon green bottle). Also, washing your hair too often can strip your hair of natural oils and trigger your scalp to produce even more oil. I don't wash my hair everyday and this has also helped with the oiliness. What kind of shampoo%26amp;conditioner stop oliy hair?

If you're bald or shaved all your hair off do you still have to use shampoo?
If you do do you use regular shampoo or speical shampoo for people with no hair?If you're bald or shaved all your hair off do you still have to use shampoo?
No, plain old soap and water will work just fine. Consider it an extension of your face.If you're bald or shaved all your hair off do you still have to use shampoo?
no
Hell no!! wat are u shampooing?
you need some skincare tips now and this article has some great tips for skincare
I DON'T KNOW IF YOU HAVE TO BUT I KNOW A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO STILL USE SHAMPOO. I REALLY DIDN'T SEE A REASON FOR IT BUT SOME SAID THEY DIDN'T LIKE USING SOAP ON THEIR HEADS AND SOME SAID TO KEEP USING SHAMPOO IS A GOOD WAY TO KEEP YOUR HEAD CLEAN AND PREVENT YOUR HEAD FROM BREAKING OUT WITH BUMPS OR TO PREVENT HEAD LICE AND DANDRUFF IF THEIR HAIR WAS TO GROW BACK.
No I would'nt see the need.
just use a moisterising soap to help protect your skin
Maybe you do because maybe you hair will grow back.
Use whatever you would use to wash your face, unless you start to grow your hair back in, then go back to shampoo.
well, it's skin so i would assume you could just use regular body soap until the hair starts to come back in.
No you do not have to use shampoo because if you have no hair than there should be no hair to shampoo.
no but soup to make it smell good lol
You want to still use a soap to help keep yuor hair follicles unclogged.
Shave every other day, Stay bald! And you don't need shampoo, just a body wash should do. You can still get dandruff if you have dry skin, so use aloe. for a little while, like a week.
yes, you have to remove the oils on your scalp. I guess you could just use soap and water too, as long as you clean your head.
There are complete product lines for people who shave their head--They mostly focus on the scalp: treatments, cleansers, waxes, etc. And don't forget the sunscreen!
no.
it is hygenic to clean you head. you dont have to use shampoo if you dont want to. you can use soap but it is much better to use shampoo because it is dermatologically made for your head and it will make the hair grow faster if you want to.. either way.. you should take a bath and clean your head because it is not hygenic if you dont clean it.
%26lt;------ shaved head.
I use shampoo, of course.
shampoo is for hair, soap is for skin. most bald guys dont even wash their head. lol.
I think you should use shampoo because your head still has oil on it.
You can use shampoo if you want, but it's not necessary.
shampoo the scalp
If you shaved your head, there is still a little bit of hair in those roots, so yes it is nessecary to use shampoo. Also you need to wash your skin so body wash or regualar soap would be needed. I would condition it 2 times a week. I am a hair dresser so i would know!!!! Hope this helps %26amp; good luck!
well you dont have to use shampoo but you still need to wash your head a lot along with everything else you also need to make sure you dont get something that will make your face break out that would be bad
nope
You do not have to use shampoo but you do need to clean the skin on your head. It will help keep the shine :)
ya to 1keep you scalp clean and 2 there's still hair there you just cant see it!
At least until the hair starts growing back, you can just use soap on your head.
since its your head it will sweat. like when you have hair it sweats. it also gets oily. thats the whole reason you need shampoo in the first place. i would recomend that you continue using shampoo. A lot of shampoos are made to take care of your scalp. and im sure you want a healthy scalp!

What shampoo ingredients do i have to look for if i'm looking for a shampoo for hair growth?
what do i need to look at in the ingredients list in a shampoo if i want to look for the best shampoo that aids in hair regrowing? What shampoo ingredients do i have to look for if i'm looking for a shampoo for hair growth?
Hello, I am a hair dresser. When you are looking to grow your hair, you need to keep it healthy and strong. Tea Tree oil is good for the scalp, but you need to keep the hair you already have strong too. For that I suggest Pantene Pro-v or any protein and/or keratin enriched shampoo AND conditioner. Stay hydrated and eat your veggies as well. Hope this helps! What shampoo ingredients do i have to look for if i'm looking for a shampoo for hair growth?
I do know of a shampoo with Tea Tree oil in it. It is called Desert Essance Tea Tree Shampoo. You find it at a organic foods store. Most shampoo additives seem like gimmick to me so be careful.

Will a thickening shampoo do anything?
Im looking to buy this 20 dollar shampoo that claims it will thicken my thinning hair.
Is this going to happen? Or is it just a marketing ploy? Will a thickening shampoo do anything?
When they say ';thickening'; shampoo it won't actually thicken your hair per se. Rather it will give your hair more volume giving the illusion that your hair is thicker. And, yes, it is pretty much a marketing ploy to get you to buy their product. Everything these days is a money making business and they'll say or promise anything to make you buy it. If I were you, I wouldn't pay the $20 for it. There is nothing that will make hair thicker. Having thick or thin hair is genetic. It runs in your family. You could try a cheaper ';volumizing'; shampoo and volumizing conditioner for much less. You could also try the old fashioned ';teasing'; your hair, but be careful because it tends to tangle your hair. Just don't over-tease. You could also use some big hot rollers and go to sleep on it. When you wake up, brush your hair out and it gives your hair more lift and volume giving the illusion that you have thick hair. Hope that helps, and good luck! Will a thickening shampoo do anything?
hi,it just not happening ok it will fluff up ur hair for that time u use it an just wash away the next time u shower ok bye noe e-mail me maybe i can help u out bye 4now

Did Biosilk thickening shampoo help your thinning hair?
My hair is thin and fragile so it brakes off especially on the ends.
Did Bio silk help it?
[[question for people who have used this product only plzz]]Did Biosilk thickening shampoo help your thinning hair?
No it will not help.
I like Biosilk, but with your problems I dont think its the right shampoo.
For shampoo I would recommend Shen Min (at gnc or other health food stores) if you want to stop the thinning. I use it and it works great. Or you can try a shampoo with protein. I'm not sure what your budget is, but Joico Kpak products would really help stop the breakage. If you cant afford it, Sally's beauty supply has a knock off version of it, and its actually surprisingly good.
Your hair is breaking off due to lack of protein, hair is made of protein, when its lacking protein due to styling etc, it breaks, so really focus your products on to that aspect.
I def. recommend some protein treatments, try Aphogee two step protein, its great.
Also, get yourself some leave in conditioner, its very important.
I dont think Biosilk will help you, sorry!Did Biosilk thickening shampoo help your thinning hair?
It helped my hair feel softer, but it made it look greasy for some reason.

Is there a shampoo/conditioner to make your hair grow longer?
Like i have very short hair on the top of my head and like it layers down but my hair doesn't grow anymore..and when it use to it would be longer on the outsides and shorter in the middle when you look from it behindIs there a shampoo/conditioner to make your hair grow longer?
I use herbal essences for long hair and it has gotten my hair to half way down my back. it seems to work. you should get it trimmed about half an inch about every six weeks. i also ride horses and i have heard that horse shampoo works tooIs there a shampoo/conditioner to make your hair grow longer?
im not sure if it will work but it helped my hair grow at least three inches.........................try GARNIER FRUCTIS LENGTH AND STRENGTH it helps repair split ends and grow your hair strong and long hope it helps :)
your hair grown half an inch per month. i have seem shampoo for growing your hair . but its mainly for just preventing split ends. try massaging your scalp for 5 min a day. that will help.
Try Organic Root Stimulator. It's a hair lotion. It's said that Olive Oil can restore life to anything it touches.
It sounds like you've been using alot of relaxers. Those seriously do more harm than good. I don't know what it's going to take for people to see that.
I heard that horse shampoo makes your hair grow longer. It's coming from my friend. So it isn't full proff but maybe you can try it. It shouldn't ruin your hair.

sun silk has both shampoo and conditioner to make your hair straighten and they even have a spray that help it become straight too

Ladies, what is your favorite shampoo and conditioner?
Based on smell, price, and quality. I'm a s+c junkie, and I really want to try some new stuff!Ladies, what is your favorite shampoo and conditioner?
John Frieda Go blonder shampoo and conditioner and then Redken blonde glam pure pearl as a hair treatment.Ladies, what is your favorite shampoo and conditioner?
I'm always changing my shampoo - have about 3 on the go at the same time. But at the moment I'm on an absolute bargain and it's gorg. Avon Almond Oil %26amp; Avacado for damaged hair. It was only 99p for shampoo %26amp; 99p for conditioner. And I treated myself to the conditioning balm (also 99p) which you leave in - bit rich though so am only using that once a week. It's smells lovely. Avon Naturals Collection. x
I use Garnier Sleek and Shine Shampoo and Conditioner. It smells amazing, and doesn't cost that much. As for the results, it makes my hair smell awesome, and the conditioner works miracles on my hair. I highly recommend it. :)
i actually like head and shoulders dry scalp care. you don't have to have dandruff to use it. it makes your hair hydrated and sleek! it's a little pricey but great quality. the smell isnt bad, but it's not fruitylicious

i actually like head and shoulders dry scalp care. you don't have to have dandruff to use it. it makes your hair hydrated and sleek! it's a little pricey but great quality. the smell isnt bad, but it's not fruitylicious

i need to get it as soon as possible..
but i dont know where to get it in malaysia..
can anyone resolve my question?Where can i get the shampoo mane n tail?
I'm not familiar with the if any chain stores in Malaysia but most drug stores or any place that sells a variety of shampoos should have it.
My grandfather gets his at wal-mart but again I don't know the stores there, you could try googling a website %26amp; either order off line or find out where they stock it.
Good luck, sorry I couldn't be of more help.Where can i get the shampoo mane n tail?
Do you have a CVS Pharmacy or Sally's Beauty Supply there? That's where I purchase mine.
I live in Japan, and I got it on ebay.

Herbal Essences- Loots of different scents :)
Pantene Prov -
Tigi Catwalk Oatmeal %26amp; Honey Shampoo
alberto Balsam rasberry
but i use.....
I Love Juicy Shampoo from Lush :)
I've been using big named brands of shampoo on my hair since I started growing it. You name it, i've used it! Like most women, I tend to get a little bored of the shampoo I am using and like to change every couple of months to something new and hopefully better.
I had heard alot of good things about the 'Lush' products, ranging from the soaps, to the body lotions. I had always walked past the shop in town, taking a nice wiff of the fruity smells that linger outside the door, but I have never gone in as it's always been mega busy, and i'm not one for busy places!
I will most definately be using this product again. It didn't make my hair look greasy by the end of the day, which is a definate plus as I hate looking like a tramp! and the main thing is it SMELLS GREAAT!! witthh lots of different scennts you name it
This Cost 拢3.50 Tryy it :)

Aussie is good.. but i would have to say that the best one that i have used is catwalk.. u can buy it at super cuts :) that is the one i use and i love it!!
hope this answer helps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Joico is very good. They have many different products. It smells really good too. Also if you have drier hair it gives your hair lots of hydration. My hair is so shiny healthy and im very pleased with these products. They also are a lot healther for your hair than shampoos from wal-mart or target which are daluted even though they say name brand its still waterd down. So purches this at your salon. Its a little more price then the walmart stuff but so worth it.
I like the smell of Pantene, but Pantene isn't the best shampoo or conditioner for your hair, as people say... Maybe Suave?? Oh, how about the Dove Go Fresh Therapy! Yeah, that's a GREAT shampoo/conditioner!

Is it safe to avoid shampoo?
I have been having hair loss for a few months already. I stopped using shampoo like 2 months ago and strictly wash my hair with egg yolks and vinegar. My hair does not stop falling.
Is it safe to continue this egg yolk thing or should I just go back to shampoo. Is it safe to avoid shampoo?

And are your co-workers, neighbors, spouse, friends..ok will the horrible smell?

What is the hottest and newest hairstyle for school????What is the best hair style u can think of and what shampoo???
A shoulder-length flippy razored cut is very in these days and is almost universally flattering to any face shape or hair color. As for shampoo, it depends more on your hair type, but I use Herbal Esences personally and can can recommend it. My hair is really fine and I use the one that's supposed to give extra body. I've tried a number of shampoos, but of all the ones I've found available in places like the supermarket (rather than a salon or someplace pricier) this is the only one that's actually given my hair more body. What is the best hair style u can think of and what shampoo???
Best hairstyle depends on the length %26amp; texture of your hair. Whether it's curly or straight or wavy, thick or thin... Just make sure you use a decent leave-in product for shine %26amp; smoothness. Never apply your leave-in products to your scalp though. That'll weigh it down. Best shampoo... Does horse shampoo really work for hair growth?
i bought mane n tail shampoo, origanally for horses and i have been using it for about a month now and i can seem to tell a difference in length.. does it really work, like for your own experiences
p.s. i have ';black hair'; i dont know if that would make a difference but just in case im throwing it out thereDoes horse shampoo really work for hair growth?
it doesn't make your hair grow but it makes it stronger which ';helps'; your hair to grow longer
=) xDoes horse shampoo really work for hair growth?
Yeah it actually helps, or I believe it does. I'm a guy and I grew my hair out back in high school before I joined the marine corps. Within 2 years or maybe less I had hair down to my mid back. One of my friends with long hair swears by it. It not only helps it grow, but it also makes it silky smooth.
And the black hair shouldn't matter, I had jet black hair also.
i've hurd that it does and i've hurd that it doesnt.but the only way to find out is buy using it your self.my sister uses it to help make her hair thicker. but im not quit sure.
yes because horse shampoo has lots of vitamins in it so yes use it plus it makes it really shiny
...No.
The way to make hair grow longer is by keeping it healthy and getting trims every 3 or so months (just the edges off, to get rid of split ends because split ends don't grow at all)
no i dont think it might so but it does make ur hair stronger and shiner
it also smells very good
its not gor ur hair to grow it helps if ur hair falls a lot thats its good for
Ever seen a horse's main or tail?
omg yes it does
NO!!! where did you hear that bologna?

Is hydration shampoo bad for your hair?
I have split ends and am getting a haircut in a couple days, i heard shampoo dries out your hair! Will hydration shampoo help not de-hydrate it and help from not drying it out?Is hydration shampoo bad for your hair?
hydration shampoo is not bad for your hair. i didnt use hydralicious or whatever its called, but i did use hello hydration and it made my hair softer. whatever you do, do not use pantene shampoo and conditioner. its really bad for your hair in the long run.Is hydration shampoo bad for your hair?
buy shampoos like john frieda or panteene or whatever to help hydrate ur hair but make sure that u buy hot oil treatments or olive oil treatments it would help to leave the cream in for like an hour for the olive oil treatments it makes it really soft
probabally, not because it will hydrate it

What ever you do, do not buy the Johnson's Baby Shampoo brand!!! I saw it on the news a few months back that it causes cancer in babies. I have oily hair and hairfalling,I bought New fructis shampoo for long and strong hair! What to do think? Can it help me with my problems that I have with my hair?Have you ever had any experience qith this shampoo? Is it effective ?Fructis garnier shampoo,is it good for hair?
My hair is 3 feet long, I've used it since the very first beginning and I find it to be AWESOME. Only thing is, every now and then I have to use something else for like 2-3 months because it stops working (like all shampoos).Fructis garnier shampoo,is it good for hair?
it's not miracle shampoo, it will remove some of the dirt and oil, depending on how fast you produce the oil, it will clean your hair, what was you expecting, a genetic reversal shampoo, be realistic and accept that it is soap for your hair, blame your parents for your bad genetics, not shampoo companies for not being able to fix you.
most people like it but my experience was the conditioner did not work and it hurt to brush out the tangles and my daughter has thick kinda frizzy hair and it made it frizzier. It made my hair break off too easy and i stopped using it.
but I know a lot of people who use it and love it, so try it and see how you like it.
I think it does help with the oily part

Is it all right to just use dandruff shampoo when you shower?

I never have had dandruff but I use dandruff shampoo all the time. That way I never will.Is it all right to just use dandruff shampoo when you shower?
It's not going to make your hair fall out if that's what you mean... Yes, you'll be fine using JUST dandruff shampoo. Of course it's always good to use sort of conditioner to keep your hair from getting dried out and knotted.
Yes, it is. I used to use it, and it worked wonderfuly. you can still use your regular shampoo and conditioner if you would like though.

Which is better for any type of hair '' Shampoo'' or '' Conditioner''?
I always use both for my hair when its needs cleaning and care, i just want to know which is better.Which is better for any type of hair '' Shampoo'' or '' Conditioner''?
This depends on what kind of hair you have. The two products do different things, so there is not one answer for all hair types.
Shampoo strips hair of excess oil (which makes your hair look greasy) while conditioner restores moisture in hair that tends to be dry.
So if your hair is fine: shampoo is your best option, no conditioner. Your hair doesn't need any help laying flat, so don't weigh it down with all that product. If you've been using conditioner and your hair is looking dull as a result, using a mixture of one part mouthwash and one part water will help gently strip all the excess stuff taking away from your hair's shine. Do not do this too frequently though, as it can be damaging.
If you have thick hair: your best bet is conditioner only. Your hair needs the help to lock in moisture, and a deeply-penetrating conditioner will do the trick. However, do not use all through your hair; from the middle down is sufficient and won't make your roots look greasy. If you have oily roots anyway, use only a little bit of shampoo and even then, don't allow shampoo to run down the ends of your hair.
If you have medium hair, use both, but not in excess. And curly hair requires more conditioner whereas straight hair requires shampoo to keep it clean.
In any of these cases, do not shampoo or condition too frequently. This can cause your hair to produce more oil than it is used to which will inevitably cause your hair to look dirtier faster.
Good luck! Hope I helped!Which is better for any type of hair '' Shampoo'' or '' Conditioner''?
Both are good: Shampoo is for cleaning and conditioner makes most people's hair shiny and easy to manage. Hope this helps.
Well, i think the shampoo is better because that is what washes the hair, the conditioner is good too, but that just keeps it soft and shiny.
both.
shampoo helps you clean it and conditioner helps make it smooth.
You need both! They are like salt and pepper or peanut butter and jelly... they go together!
Both. Use shampoo and clean it, then use conditioner to make it silky and smooth.
You're supposed to use both.
Shampoo only cleans your hair
Conditioner is what nourises your hair to make it soft smooth shiny and healthy.
shampoo! but for best results use conditioner as well.
Well, you shouldn't be using conditioner until after you use shampoo, so shampoo is the necessary one. One's not really ';better'; than the other because both have different tasks. I myself only use Dove shampoo, then air-dry my hair, and when it's still a little wet, I use leave-in conditioner spray (if I use regular conditioner, masses of hair fall out for some unknown reason...). That leaves my hair feeling soft and looking shiny, but do whatever you do to keep your hair nice. Don't omit one if both work for you.
Shampoo.
Always use shampoo...but if your hair is getting dry, use conditioner. I use to use shampoo and conditioner everytime I would wash my hair. But I realized that using conditioner once in a while works best for me. My hair looks better.
Conditioner is better it gets tanggles out n if u put it in your hair when you get out the bath or shower.leasve it in and wash it out the next day in the shower or that night.
Shampoo...it cleans ur hair, and after all, ultimately isn't that what we all want?
both coz shampoo washes away dirt and sweat and conditioner restores the natural oil washed away by the shampoo
They are meant to be used together so you are right in the fact that you always do use both.

Is oatmeal shampoo good for keeping flies off of dogs?
No, however, Avon's Skin So Soft will do the trick! Is oatmeal shampoo good for keeping flies off of dogs?
Vet Tech is absolutely right. My sister has pugs and fosters pugs in Florida and she swears by Skin So Soft. She even sprays it on her window screens to keep the flys and other flying insects away.Is oatmeal shampoo good for keeping flies off of dogs?
Oatmeal (doggie) shampoo is a very mild and only effective on a frequently bathed dog, or a dog with sensitive skin as it won't irritate or dry out his/her skin. It is not effective against fleas as it contains no ingredients to repel or kill the little parasites.wrinkles

Does volumizing shampoo/conditioner actually work?
I have super flat hair and I have no idea what to do with it! I dry my hair upside down and by the time I leave the house, it's already flat! I bought some volumizing shampoo and I was wondering if it works or not.Does volumizing shampoo/conditioner actually work?
Some kinds do, some don't. None are going to make your hair suddenly have a ton of volume. Most kinds do help though and are worth a try.
Try curling your hair with a 1 1/4 inch barrel curling iron. This will give it volume as well as pretty waves and curls.
Mousse also does work on a lot of hair types. You will have to experiment with what brand works best with your hair. I wouldn't recommend Aussie mousse; it made my hair frizzy and poofy.
Good luck!Does volumizing shampoo/conditioner actually work?
it depend wat brand you use but yes they all pretty much work./
Yes.
depends what brand it was. if it a cheap brand then no. but it really depends on the shampoo. you have to do trials wilh different shampoos work best. just remember that the cheap ones dont work!!!

Most important thing is how you use the product. Take a dry flannel into the shower and absorb excess moisture before you condition. This will enable the conditioner to go into the hair, instead of running along the outside. Hair is absorbant, so if it is already saturated the conditioner is as good as useless!
Hope this helps.
try bedhead self absorbed shampoo and conditioner
i love sunsilk, they have a type of shampoo and conditioner for every type of hair and its cheap
I like the Aussie line...
if you want professinol products, i like biolage...but if you want store bought i like sunsilk..i alternate b/c biolage is sooooooooooooooo expensive, but it's worth it!
garnier frutis is awsome! and it comes in shampoos and conditioners for different hair types.
I found one conditioner that I absolutely loved, unfortunately some one gave it to me and its not something that you can run to walmart and get, I don't even remember the name, but I think Pantene is decent, expensive but decent
Pantene s gr8 n not expensiv
What kind of hair do you have? Curly? Curls Rock by Catwalk. Colored hair? Biolage Color care. Stick with professioal products. Get a good clarifyer once a week to wash out build up. Matrix Alternate Action is a great one.

Does horse shampoo really make your hair grow?? What can make hair grow extreamly long!!!!?
I want to grow my hair out really long but I need to know where to get special shampoos or what I can use.Does horse shampoo really make your hair grow?? What can make hair grow extreamly long!!!!?
Take biotin supplements, they help hair and nails grow faster and stronger. Also, prevent as much damage as possible. Use thermal protectors when blowdrying, flat ironging, or otherwise using heat on hair. Get regular trims (6-8 weeks).Does horse shampoo really make your hair grow?? What can make hair grow extreamly long!!!!?
I tried Mane N' Tail Shampoo and Conditoner, Leave-In Conditioner, and the Carrot Oil Creme for over six months.
Their products worked for me.Do not brush your hair.
Brushes are extremely damaging to the hair. Brushes cause the hair to stretch and snap off.
I have heard that gelatin can make your hair and nails grow long. You can take gelatin caplets, or just eat Jello. Also TresEmme makes shampoo and conditioner makes an anti breakage formula that has gelatin in it. And it works so great for me, it makes my hair very strong. You should try it.
brushing your hair alot can make it grow more! can't always believe shampoo's.
Prenatal pills help.
It. does. not. do. anything.
I use it all the time when I go to my friend's ranch.
I must say it makes your hair really smooth!
uhhh no sorry to tell you. lol i used it once because i have horses and all it did was make my hair EXTREMELY greasy and i didn't see and improvement in my hair growing. but i can say that i do a mayo. treatment that work well i think, just cover your hair in mayo. rap it in plastic rap and while your doing this put 3 towels in the dryer and once your done putting the plastic on take one towel while its hot and rap it on your hair for 10 minutes then repeat with the other to towels. then rinse hair with Garner fructis (length %26amp; strength) also with light conditioning. and you can do this treatment once a month or once a week and it helps everything and DO NOT get your hair trimed every 6 to 8 weeks i learned the hard way. do like 2 a year. trust me. your hair grows from the scaple not the tips. also limit puting hair up wear it down an cut back on hot tools (stragteners, curler, ect.) i just do this at night and let my hair air dry and then brush it nicely in the morning but i also put a wave puduct in so my hair looks pretty and wavy but if u much staighten your hair use a portective spray or do it for speacil ocassions.

Could I use a spray bottle mixed with shampoo and water as a makeup brush cleaner.?
I looked at the ingredients of a shampoo bottle and it's main ingredients where the same as a $10 brush cleanerCould I use a spray bottle mixed with shampoo and water as a makeup brush cleaner.?
Yes you can just use Shampoo to clean your makeup brushes, but make sure it's gentle baby shampoo. If you wanna make a real makeup brush cleaner you can mix distilled water, alchohol, dishwashing soap, spray on leave in conditioner (chi and paul mitchell makes good ones)
mix 1 cup water, 1/4 cup alchohol, 1/2 tablespoon of dishsoap, 1/2 tablespoon shampoo, 1 tablespoon leave in conditioner. gently stir everything together and put it in a spray bottle. hope this helps, good luck.Could I use a spray bottle mixed with shampoo and water as a makeup brush cleaner.?
You actually don't have to dilute the mixture if you use a gentle baby shampoo or antibacterial hand soap. If you are going to use a baby shampoo make sure you use one with no conditioner or fragrance. Use Johnson and Johnson original baby shampoo. You only want to shampoo your brushes every three to four weeks. NEVER submerge the brushes. Take a small amount ( the size of a nickle or dime ) in the palm of your hand. Run your brush under warm water swirl the brush into the shampoo until it forms a lather. Then move on to the next brush. The gently massage the lather into the brush and rinse with warm water. Wring out the excess water and lay flat on a paper towel to dry over night. Don't place them in a cup as the excess water will run down and loosen the glue that holds the bristles in place. As far as cleanings in between washing try a mix of alcohol and water. around 50/50. Spray it on a paper towel and rub the brush over he damp paper towel. Like magic your done. Hope this helps.
If you want to disinfect your brushes, put alcohol (99%) in the spray bottle. I am not sure about brush cleaner, the only one I like is Cinema Secrets ... all the others suck IMO. I disinfect my personal brushes once a week and shampoo them once a month. For brushes used in cream products (foundations, cream shadows, gel liners) I just wipe them on a makeup remover wipe until the wipe is all full. Obviously I do not do that with my professional brushes! They are cleaned and disinfected after each use.
I have used hair shampoo %26amp; rinse with lots of warm water to clean my brushes but I also like to use a body shampoo sometimes. Just rinse well %26amp; tap the extra water off %26amp; let your brush air dry.
I don't use a blow dryer to help it dry faster, that messed up my bristles %26amp; made them spread out.
You can use shampoo and water to clean makeup brushes. I would consider using an anti-fungal cleaner every couple of months or so, also. You can get them quite reasonably at a beauty supply or drugstore.
something easier just use anti bacterial gel on a disposable type towel and run the brush back and fourth drys fast no bacteria will grow from left over moisture etc..
I always use this Brush Cleanser from MAC
It's 10 dollars.
Then for monthly I would use Baby Shampoo for deep cleaning the brushes.
I would suggest using a anti-bacterial soap, like Softsoap. (the clear one) I use it on a regular basis and it works really well.
I have always cleaned my make-up brushes with a week solution of baby shampoo and water. I have never had any problems.
i wouldnt use a regular shampoo. I use baby shampoo because it's gentle

i have Aura Cacia's 100% Essential Oil in Wild Chamomile.. it says you can add a few drops to your conditioner or something... has anyone ever done this? what does it do for your hair? i tried finding it online but no luck.Has anyone ever used essential oils with their shampoo?
i have never tried it but i read that you can do it. No harm done to your hair. just a pretty scent.Has anyone ever used essential oils with their shampoo?
I've never tried putting it into my conditioner, but sometimes I'll put some essential oil like lavender on my fingers and rub it into my scalp and a bit into my hair. Lavender helps make it less oily if it's too oily, or moisturizes it if it's dry.

I got an email recommending head and shoulders shampoo to use on dogs-is that a good idea?
A vet allergist recommended it for a dog that was prone to fungus etc. Could this really be safe for a dog? article said to leave some of the shampoo on the dog, not to rinse off real well. Is this sound advice?I got an email recommending head and shoulders shampoo to use on dogs-is that a good idea?
It's usually never a good idea to use human shampoo on dogs except in extreme cases. Human shampoo is PH balanced for people not dogs and using human shampoo on a dog will usually result in irritated skin, flaking and/or itching. When you wash a dog with ANY shampoo, you temporarily wash away the natural oils of the coat. If it's the right shampoo, you'll get a good result. I'd get a second opinion on that one.I got an email recommending head and shoulders shampoo to use on dogs-is that a good idea?
There is no shampoo that should be left on a dog.
Under a dermatologist vet care who recommended using it then I would say use shampoo but it is usually Selsun Blue suggested. It contains selenium sulfide which can be used for seborrheic dermatitis but only if vet recommends it.
you should try using Unicure Blue or Natural Shampoo only couple times a week along with Unicure Hair and Skin Conditioner 3-4+ times daily as both a leave in and wash out conditioner its grease less, perfume, fragrance, and color free. Works for EVERYTHING related to Hair Or Skin from Clearing Acne to Keeping hair healthy, shiny. Thick, dandruff free, and so much more... available at www.unicure.com it has been around since 1973 formulated in the '50's in Denmark. The website has tons of beauty tips and testimonials plus was #1 selling hair conditioner in US and Canada they have a full line of hair care products. Definitely the best! and a very reasonable price about $5 a bottle 12oz.

people care more about dogs these days then people...
ask you vet for advice. I would think it would be too harsh for a dog.
Call your vet and ask them. I wouldn't leave soap residue on a person let alone a dog.
NOOOOOO it is too harsh for a dog's skin. Go to Pet Smart and spend 4.99 for shampoo ..isn't your dog worth the money??

What is the difference between clarifying and fortifying shampoo?
best answer gets 10 points of course
=]What is the difference between clarifying and fortifying shampoo?
Clarifying shampoo helps remove buildup from your hair. The buildup can be caused by styling products or other shampoos and conditioners (particularly moisturizing products). It can make your hair pretty shiny and very clean, but robs you of moisture and shouldn't be used every day.
Fortifying shampoo restores strength and (sometimes) moisture to your hair. It is good for damaged hair that needs some strength. It can also add a bit of bulk to fine hair. What is the difference between clarifying and fortifying shampoo?
its all the same to me.
clarifying shampoo strips your hair of all impurities (products that you might have put in your hair.. etc). fortifying shampoo strengthens hair with vitamins and natural elements (seaweed, oils.. etc.)
fortifying is protien for your hair. like if you hair is very weak it will bring it back to health. like if you just bleached your hair. and clarifying is if you need to cleanse it a lot. like if you have a ton of product build up. its good to use a clarifier once a week if you use a lot of products on your hair. but i wouldn't use it if you have color in your hair cuz it might fade it.
woop!
Fortifying gives your hair strength, it helps to keep it strong. Clarifying takes all the dirt, spray, gel, etc out. If you don't want your hair to get lighter don't use clarifying shampoos. Clarifying shampoos is recommended when you dye your hair and you want the color to bleed a little.

What do you think of ';Mane and Tail'; Shampoo for horses, but use it on human hair?
I use it on my horses, and it's good for detangling mane. It leaves a bit of build-up on their coats though, so I don't use the conditioner on them. Besides, every time I give them a bath, they go roll in the dirt right after anyway....
It's a common practice for the rodeo girls here to use it, too, and our local stores sell it in the health and beauty department.
I personally don't use it for a shampoo--I prefer BedHead products.
**lol @ Jamie...The only person that's going to smell like a horse AFTER they use it is the one who smelled like a horse BEFORE they used it.... :-) So you're safe...**What do you think of ';Mane and Tail'; Shampoo for horses, but use it on human hair?
The American Cancer Society has issued statements concerning sodium laurel sodium due to all the hype and rumors on the internet. It is not dangerous. It does have a tendency to strip oils but all shampoos do that if used excessively.
I'm not a horse and have no desire to smell like one. I use quality hair products usually bought on sale. I change up from month by month. I love my hair so don't shampoo every day and I never blow dry it. Treating hair with egg yolks occationally will keep it shiny. Apple cider vinegar will remove build-up. Hair care doesnt have to be expensive if that is your concern. My mother used Suave for years and she had beautiful hair. It doesn't contain sodium laurel sulfate if you really are concerned about that. And they have a variety of fragrances none of which will make you smell like a horse. What do you think of ';Mane and Tail'; Shampoo for horses, but use it on human hair?

Does anyone know where i can buy a shampoo that makes your hair grow?
Maybe Walmart. How much does it grow. I need a fairly good priceDoes anyone know where i can buy a shampoo that makes your hair grow?
shampoo is to clean hair not to make it grow.
how to make ur hair grow faster
first of all u should know that there is internal and external part.
internal part :ur hair to grow ,to be soft and smooth need essential vitamines like iron,calcium,b5,so u should take care of ur food and preserve a good diet and submit ur body with all the essential vitamines and minerals,u can not have a good hair and skin if u r starving ur self.
second:external care:u should follow the basic routine(massage ur scalp, use a good shampoo and conditioner, intensive mask every week etc)
3rd:if u have a tight budget u can use natural product(which i recommand cuz mask etc have chemicals which in the long run not good for ur hair).
4th:u should follow the basic hair care(email me if u do not know it)Does anyone know where i can buy a shampoo that makes your hair grow?
There is no such thing.....Sorry
i dont think there is such shampoo that works
http://triplego.com
you can buy their prods @ http://www.texasbeautysupplies.com
try the sleep cap its gud....
dont worry black hair has the same structure as yours...ours is jus more tightly curled so these prods should work even better for you
there is no magic shampoo that is going to make your hair grow faster. the only thing you can do is make sure that your hair is healthy enough to grow longer.
There really isn't any product that makes your hair grow.
Some women swear by ';Mane and Tail'; shampoo and conditioner used together. Wall-mart does carry it for cheap but I have zero opinion on it.
Exercise, eat well and take your vitamins. That will work better in the long run...
Good luck!
its called mane and tail. you can get it at sally's or any horse supply store. yess it is horse shampoo but it is made for humans. IT WORKS. i mean. not like super super fast. but it does aid in hair growth quite a bit. and it makes ur hair like squeeky clean. no lie. the first time i used it my hair like squeeked when it was wet after washing it. lol. ive used it for hte longest time. my hair is like mid back. but i get it trimmed a lot! good uck. hope this helped. not sure about price though!!!
Herbal. They sell it in CVS. I used it it makes ur heair thicker healtheir and longer. but make sure u get the conditioner. It worked for me. Maybe it was a coiencidence?Well comment bac and good luck(:
There is not a shampoo that makes your hair grow. It does not exist hate to tell you. The person who invents it will no doubt be a very wealthy person! They do make a product called rogain that will prevent baldness but I think that just helps to save the hair you have. You can get that at any pharmacy.
Don't think there is a shampoo to help grow hair may be this will help. Lavender oil has been shown to increase hair growth so massage the oil once a week and soak for 30 minutes before washing. Try http://solutionsforhairgrowth.blogspot.c鈥?/a> for more details.
