what is the best shampoo / conditioner to use ?
I've heard pantine is really bad for your hair, and a whole bunch of other shampoo's are too, they load your hair with junk just to make it feel good, but its also really bad for your hair ( i heard this at the hair salon) and how do you make your hair soft and silky ?
thanks ! :)Best shampoo to use and way to make hair soft and silky ?
Drugstore shampoos and conditioners are cheap for a reason. They are full of harsh chemicals that strip color and natural oils from your hair and cause damage. They are also full of wax the coats the outside of the hair shaft. But out of these Pantene is the absolute worst and Suave is next. They use the most wax and the harshest chemicals. If you must use a drugstore brand use Aussie. They use natural ingredients instead of all the chemicals and wax.
You have to realize though, that shampoo cleans your hair, that is all that it can do. You need a conditioner to make your hair silky and soft. Matrix conditioners are great, I don't recommend Redken or Kenra and especially not Paul Mitchell (their stuff is the worst!). BedHead and Catwalk are both made by TIGI and they are amazing, I put my trust in everything they make. Fashonista is a great shampoo, it is the prefect strength and it lathers really well (so you only need a tiny bit).Best shampoo to use and way to make hair soft and silky ?
Herbal Essence all the way!
Do the basic hair care (you might know this, but if not):
- shampoo everywhere, scrubbing your scalp, but not piling your hair on top of your head, because that will cause tangles
- condition only at hair at your neck and below
- Blow dry, flat iron, curl, etc... only when you absolutely have to!
To make mine soft and silky, I let shampoo sit while I use body wash. While leaving the wash on, I wash off the shampoo and put on conditioner. Leave that on, and wash off the body wash. That makes it nice, clean, and soft. I also bring a brush with me, so when the water is still running, and all the soap is out of my hair, I can comb it.
That's all I can think of for now.
Good luck!
i use the paul mitchell shampoo and conditioner and i love it. i straighten my hair and after that its still really smooth. you should try considering this product. its the best ive ever used and its really not all that pricy. they have liter bundles for 26 and sometimes even that gets even cheaper. if you want silky hair i think the smoothing one youll like the best..but seriously..they all smooth hair. although if you were looking at something cheaper...(i dont know if you know the store/salon ulta) theyre having this gigantic shampoo and conditioner sale thingy. they have some liter bottles for only 9.99 brands like Tigi Beadhead and other brands also in litter bottles for like 12.99 or 13.99 i cant remember...but great deals...all salon brands. look into it. ulta.com
pantene is badd.
giovanni *(i bought it at walmart) smooth as silk shampoo is great - so is the conditioner and the leave-in deep conditioning treatment, which are also called smooth as silk.
they use all-natural organic ingredients, without the harsh sulfates and like...junk ingredients that build up on your hair like pantene and sunsilk.
also, it has protein in it! (: and since hair is dead protein (yuck, right?), protein will make it stronger, longer, healthier, etc.!
if you have a local store called ULTA go there, i was there a few days ago and this may sound funny but they have hemp shampoo and conditioner which makes ur hair pretty soft, they also have other products that are organic that are pretty good too. if there isn't one locally then try online.
Aussie Moist.
also try to leave the conditioner on as looong as you can.
wear a shower cap or just tie it in a ponytail while you clean yourself up in the shower.
use the Aussie Deeeeep 3-Minute Miracle once a week.
makes your hair reaaaally soft.
Herbal Essences ''Drama Clean'' (green bottle)
It makes my hair really clean, even after one use. It also makes mine super soft and shiny. Herbal Essences ''Hello Hydration'' (blue bottle) is great to. Plus, it smells amazing!
I think it's only $3.99.
MOS DEF Pantene! My hair is super thick and curly and this works the best. It even works for people with straight hair, or even color treated hair! :DDD Whatever you do, use all the products in the line, it definitely helps.
Probably go for the stuff you see at the salon, or this brand called Matrix. Dot use Dove-it left my hair greasy and don't use Sunsilk. Garnier is good too.
Bubble And Bubble! When i got my hair cut it was as smooth silky and shiny ad ever! Use it! Trust Me!
dont use shampoo at all.
