You might try Pantene Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner. It was recently voted best by Self magazine. About once a month you should probably use a more intense conditioner, one you leave on for 5 minutes or so, especially in the winter months. What is the best shampoo for a teen with dry curly hair?
pantene and dove work very well
I have the same situation.

Pert is really good because my hair doesn't tangle as much, but it doesn't have much of a smell.

Herbal Essence is fab - few tangles, less greasy hair and smells good.

I've used Suave, too, that worked well - but didn't seem to be vibrant for as long as Herbal Essence.

I'd reccoment Herbal Essence. I straighten my hair a little in the mornings when my hair is dry and it stays that way all day.

Good Luck - hope this helps!
try herbal essences it works, i've been using it for 7 months
i have curly. aka. frizzyish hair. i like dove, the moisturizing one. and then i just bought the john frieda weather works, conditioner and i really like it. i havent tried the shampoo yet though. and then i like the weather works cream to put in before styling as well.
cream of nature shampoo (it's in the ethnic aisle)

wash your hair every other day

braid and let air dry

prob won't need a conditioner, but every other week you can use aveda, or organix conditioner

organix also makes great shampoo as well
you need to use a coconut shampoo :)

it has natural oils in it

which will rehydrate the cortex in your hair :)

For the dryness, try Pantene Pro-V conditioners. They're inexpensive and really do the trick. As for straightening, don't use any hot irons; that will only make your hair dryer and damage it. Try using big rollers after your hair is dry. They will relax your hair and straighten out a little but with no heat damage!
